We currently have one scholarship available for a talented student that is interested in pursuing a PhD degree in our group. Potential applicants need basic knowledge in Computational/Theoretical Chemistry, basic mathematical knowlegde, a keen interest in Chemistry, and also knowledge in how to handle command-line based programs. Applicants with programming skills (particularly in C++) will be given preference.
Potential candidates should familiarise themselves with the entry requirements for the PhD program at The University of Melbourne, Faculty of Science. The final application will have to be submitted to the Faculty, but beforehand, potential candidates should contact Dr Lars Goerigk if they are interested in working in our group. Please send your CV —including academic transcripts, references, and a list of quantum chemical concepts covered at university — as well as a document outlining your motives for pursuing your PhD.
Preferably, the scholarship should be taken up anytime between February and August 2018.
